KEEP AND DRESS THE GARDEN

GARDNER 042.JPG

Genesis 2:8-17  And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed. 9  And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. 10  And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads. 11  The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold; 12  And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone. 13  And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia. 14  And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates. 15  And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

Indeed, we are the ones who were generated in a consciousness or realm called eternity; we were generated in a perfect garden-like condition where every thing flourished as we prospered in the glory of God. We were generated in a garden-like state called paradise where everything that we did prospered, a realm where we knew nothing but joy and singing, a place where fear did not exist, nor did the anxiety for survival exist.  Of a truth, we are that man in the beginning who had all pleasures and blessings at His disposal.  Man has forgotten this place of life, mirth and joy because He is encompassed with gross darkness. This gross darkness has produced the many problems and sorrows in which man lives in. Name them fear for survival, Family problems, emotional problems, lack of self control, financial problems, disability problems, health problems etc, these are some of the things, which have encompassed man in this world so that He has lost a total awareness of that perfect state in which He was generated in the beginning, in the realm called eternity (God’s realm). In man’s human experience the once blossoming garden, bustling with abundant life, has been reduced to a waterless desert place where the cactus that yields thorns flourishes and the freaky owls, jackals, scorpions, serpents etc now reign.

Something happened along the line that has caused man to lose his inheritance in God’s glory, and there must be a way back to that place we have fallen from.  This is the focus of the gospel, the good news is that the living one is here to restore comforts to us; healing in every aspect of our lives is available no matter where we may find ourselves. Some people have come to a place in their life where they feel their case is helpless, but the worse our predicament is, the more God is glorified as He restores us. The drier the dead bones are, the more is the name of the Lord glorified as He breathes life into us and raises us up out of the graveyard of humanity. The more barren our spiritual wombs are, the more is His name glorified as he converts our barren state into fruitfulness, so that we can birth the glory of the living God.

All we have to do is attentively listen to the words of the spirit; enough of the activities and many things that distract us, enough of the gathering of knowledge for egoistic purposes. May we not be like the Greeks who went up at the feast of tabernacles and wanted to see Jesus; these where men who are reputed scholars, men who glory in knowledge [John 12:20]. If we should glory let us glory in the cross and in the revelation of the life of the only begotten of the Father. The time has come to sit down at the feet of the Christ to listen attentively and hearken to words that are able to deliver us and give us life.

He must cause us to first of all understand why we have fallen so low into an ever-sinking realm of spiritual poverty. He will expose the works of the devil so that we never again have to go through the anguish and pain seen in humanity. I have come to give life and life abundantly, I do this by revealing things that you lost all understanding of, I do this by causing you to remember the place of life from whence you have fallen and to lead you there once more.

Isaiah 45:3 And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.

In that day in which man was created, He was charged with keeping this garden and nothing more. Corporately and individually, we are that man charged to keep the garden, which in reality is our state, not a garden in the sky, neither is it a garden in the Middle East like theologians or historians might like to believe, it is within us. If Israel after the flesh, situated in the middle east was ever referred to as the garden of God, it was used as a shadow of that which is true, invisible and eternal.

God has appointed us the gardeners of our garden-like state to keep it blossoming and fruitful. Apart from glorifying the name of the Lord in keeping the by keeping the garden fruitful, the one who faithfully keeps His garden, eats of its fruits; He drinks of the rivers of pleasures that wells up from within the garden; He is encompassed with true divine riches in glory (gold); He is satisfied with the hidden manner (bdellium). This is the place of the right hand of God’s presence, a place where no curse can enter.

Keeping the garden will mean not obstructing the flow of the stream that flowed from the midst of the garden to water the garden; it would mean not allow it to get contaminated; it would also mean abstaining from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil that is in the midst of the garden.

The word, “keep” which was used in the Hebrew means

A primitive root; properly to hedge about (as with thorns), that is, guard; generally to protect, attend to, etc.: - beware, be circumspect, take heed (to self), keep (-er, self), mark, look narrowly, observe, preserve, regard, reserve, save (self), sure, (that lay) wait (for), watch (-man).

To keep the garden in that beautiful blossoming state, man has to be in a state of alert and watchful at all times, He has to accomplish this task by being diligent and not slothful. As custodian of the garden, man has to protect it and guard it jealously because out of it comes His consolation throughout eternity. I have a garden outside my home in Italy and from experience, I can tell you that at times, it is enough to neglect your garden for just one week to see a change in its state and the longer you neglect it the more disorientated it looks. To keep that beautiful state of a garden that is a delight to the eyes, a man has to make sacrifices to work on that garden. You must take out time to water the garden. To eliminate weeds, to trim plants, to rake out dead leaves, eliminate insects and rodents and constantly seek ways of improving the beauty by restructuring the garden, introducing new plants and providing stimulants like fertilizers, etc. There will always be something to do in a garden; therefore, to those who own gardens there is no room for slothfulness.

If we were generated in a blossoming garden-like state called Eden (pleasure, Paradise of God), where we knew nothing but peace, joy and prosperity, how come men now find themselves in a howling wilderness condition where there is emotional turmoil and anguish of soul, a state that knows no rest no matter how much it tries.  The truth is that, men like Adam, have not watched over their garden-like states, they have fallen into a deep sleep, causing room for the devil to infiltrate the garden of God.

Somewhere along the line, man slept and slipped away from that garden-like state into the wilderness state. It is in the state of sleep that man partakes of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. To partake of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil is a form of communion in the kingdom of darkness, it is a communion that unites man with the beast, and the beast is simply that old cunning serpent, which crawls on the earth. Who is the serpent? It is the life of mortal man, energized by the natural carnal mind.

Genesis 2:21  And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

Unknown to many, man is still sleeping, He has not awoken out of the deep sleep seen in Genesis 2:21, and as long as he sleeps the evil one is having a fields day in the garden. The devil is busy destroying and sowing His seed of death in the garden of God, which I have defined as the state of our soul. As long as man is not watching over the garden and keeping it, you can be rest assured that the Devil will help Him keep it in his own way.  Man can expect to see noting but a worsening condition in the garden as long as he remains spiritually asleep. We should bear in mind that nobody can keep your garden for you; a man must labor in His garden to eat the fruits of peace and joy that it will produce.

In this natural world no man can eat nor enjoy comforts except he labors, in likewise manner, no man can truly partake of the fruits of eternal life except he labors first to produce it and then to keep it. As long as man remains slothful, loving sleep, he will not see that place of satisfaction and joy, he will not partake of the bread of life.

Proverbs 20:13  Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes, and thou shalt be satisfied with bread.

The wise man is the one who shuns sleep and labors diligently in His garden or farm.

Proverbs 10:5  He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.

One may ask, “What is the spiritual significance or interpretation of sleep?” It is the slip from the real world to a dream world, it is a slip from truth to the lie, from light to darkness; it can also be defined as an unconscious loss of ones self. Those who sleep are similar to those who die because they do not see, hear, talk or do any thing while they lay asleep. When Lazarus was dead and buried in the tomb Jesus liken Him to one who is asleep in the tomb. What we behold in humanity is men who are sleep walking, not aware of who they are, where they come from and where they are heading to. Man in His deep state of sleep tries to mold eternal castles in the mud, He goes about trading thinking that he can gain something in this present world, not knowing that the way He came in naked is the same way He leaves it naked.

The model son, Jesus Christ had that fundamental knowledge of his origin and His destination, for this reason he always confessed that His kingdom is not of this material world. He stayed awake by not being lured away from His bond of oneness with the Father when tempted on several occasions to abandon it for the deceitful and temporal glories of this material world. He was awake and remains awake, because He walked in the consciousness of His true form which has been from the beginning of this world ever before He descended into mortality to share in the lowliness of His brethren caught up in the web of mortality. That true form is the form of the Christ who is the only true God.

John 17:3  And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

1John 5:20  And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

If any man is not aware of Himself in this form He is deep asleep. When men manifest fear, lack of faith, hate and discord, it is simply a result of their lack of awareness of their origin in the Son. Like Paul once wrote, those who sleep, sleep at night. We are children of the kingdom or of the light only when we awaken from that deep sleep of humanity. To awaken, is awaking to out true form as it has been before we found ourselves in mortal form.

1Thessalonians 5:5  Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. 6  Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.  7  For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night

The Hour has come to first hear and recognize the voice of the father and then to awake and get back to work on the garden within us. Let us not deceive ourselves thinking we can repair the gardens of others when ours is in ruin, this is the hypocrisy of religion. In the hypocrisy of man’s religion, men divert all their energy and concentration in trying to save others when they themselves do not have a clue as to what salvation is all about. What they do is end up making their converts worse off than they were initially. There is no point, trying to point fingers and others, that hypocritical tendency is in all men; we have to overcome this hypocritical tendency though.

Some of us have heard these messages of deep truths for many years, some have received directly from the Father, some have read many books, listened to many messages and visited the best websites and traveled for powerful meetings but their gardens remain in ruins producing thorns and thistles that cannot be touched by others. Yet we divert all our energy, trying to minister to others, we try to work and repair the gardens of others when we should concentrate on working in our own individual gardens and watching over it. It is when our gardens flourish and blossom with the fruits of the spirit that men will see and for themselves then awaken to work on their own gardens.

Someone says but Jesus said we should go out to preach the gospel to all creatures. Yes He said that, but all that the people need to do is behold the blossoming garden and to partake of it’s fruits then they will believe; all they need to do is behold and taste the fruits of pure love, humility, gentleness, kindness and unlimited faith in our garden, then they will believe. When John wrote on Jesus, He said they beheld and handled the glory of God not just heard Him speak. It is beholding the manifestation of the glory that causes men to believe. Think of the various wonders of the world where people flock to, to behold; I was at one of them, called the Aburi gardens, it is an artificial garden planted in Ghana by the British over 200 years ago, it is really a delight to behold. The garden does not go about announcing itself, but its glory speaks for it. By their fruits you will know them, not by the kingdom message or by being tagged the “called out” or “the kingdom people”.  So let us concentrate on our gardens and leave the rest to God.

Isaiah 61:9  And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the LORD hath blessed.

The time has come to repair the garden that has been in ruins. We will look at one of the parables of Jesus on the good seed and the field.

Matthew 13:24-30  Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: 25  But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. 26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. 27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? 28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? 29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

This parable is deep, so let us attentively listen to what the Lord is saying.

That man who sowed the good seed is the same man who came along as the enemy to sow the bad seed, we will find out how shortly. The different manifestations are actually two different levels of consciousness that man puts on. The man who sowed the good seed is the true gardener who plants the good seed, that good man is the Father. It is only in the conscious bond of unity with the Father that man can ever sow the good seed. Remember we are the gardeners only in an awoken or enlightened state in the Father conscious. Only when we align with the Christ within who is one with the Father that we can truly operate as gardeners. Our gardens can blossom and prosper only when we abide in the son (Christ), it is only then that we can in unity with the Father perform a good work in the garden.

John 15:1  I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.  2  Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

Adam in His perfection operated as the gardener because being in the image of the living and invisible God he was one with the Father. In that perfect state the fullness of the Godhead dwells within man, so that he operates with the mind of the Father. We know that the ways a man thinks defines a man, if a man puts on the mind of Christ, which is the mind of the Father what we behold is the manifestation of the Father through Him.

The enemy that comes along is the devil, who is actually that same man who once walked in the glorious immortal state of the Father, but now slips into a dormant state of deep sleep. As long as the man remained alert and kept watch over the vine, no evil one could have polluted the garden with the bad seed.

In the beginning, when we dwelt in the bosom of the Father, we sowed the good seed into the ground, which is our body, but we all slept along the line. That deep sleep has caused a great descent from the impeccable image and glory of the Father and has given rise to a new image carved out by the dark imaginations of the carnal mind. That new image, which is of the earth, is the wicked one who has over the years sowed the seed of carnality and death in the land.

Think of it, all the seeds of carnality that have tied of emotions and desires to a mortal image after the flesh and to this material age have been sowed into this virgin land by our carnal minds that we have possessed in our dormant state of deep sleep. As a result of the sowing to the flesh, unbelief, discord, pride, lust, emotional turmoil, anguish of soul, greed, fear, anxiety for survival etc have become the weeds which have destroyed the beauty of this once blossoming garden. Man is bound to mistaken corruptible image after the flesh and therefore has His mind and affections fixed on the earth and as long as man is in this state, he can not please God; He views Himself as separate from the living God. As long as man has the evil eye which knows and sees nothing but mages projected from the carnal mind he is defiled by the power of lust and therefore cannot stand blameless before God no matter how he tries. As long as He is not in the conscious bond of oneness with the Father nothing can work, it is only in the bond of oneness with the Father that all things are possible.

If we find ourselves in deep trouble, let us stop pointing the finger and blaming it on someone out there, we have to turn things around by first of all awakening to the truth and transforming our minds back to the mind of the Father as ministered to us by the spirit of God within us.  Every seed of falsehood which the carnal mind has planted on this piece of ground has to be uprooted; Yes every seed that proceeded forth from that old serpent-like and earthly nature which we have possessed in our sleep of death, has to be totally uprooted by the Father.

Matthew 15:13  But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.

The uprooting of the tares from the wheat is simply done as we reunite ourselves once more with the consciousness of ourselves in the Father. When we put on the mind of the Father, out of which proceeds truth, every lie of the carnal mind that has brought forth the seed of death is consumed. Like an incinerator, the truth like a consuming fire consumes every thing that does not have it’s originality in the mind of God. The lies about our associations in the flesh be it family ties, tribal ties, race, traditions of men, religious concepts and beliefs, and all things that deviate our minds from the one true body that is and has been throughout eternity has to be completely swallowed up by the bright illumination that shines forth from the mind of God. As we hear the voice of the cock crow and arise from out of the bed of humanity back into the consciousness of the Father the enemy is no more. We have to now recover ourselves, by pulling out all the vain high imaginations and the idols that we erected in our minds while the wicked one had it fields day and cause them to be disintegrated by the truth.

The illumination of the truth from the mind of the Father which is our mind in our awoken state, consumes forever the lies that have brought torment and anguish to the soul and bring forth the perfect creation of God without fault or blemish. When the work is complete no more will the pain, anguish and bitterness seen in humanity ever affect us any more.

The word in this hour is. AWAKE in the consciousness of the son and unite in one with the Father so that the desolate land can once more be like the Garden of Eden, the paradise of the living God.

Ezekiel 36:33  Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the day that I shall have cleansed you from all your iniquities I will also cause you to dwell in the cities, and the wastes shall be builded. 34  And the desolate land shall be tilled, whereas it lay desolate in the sight of all that passed by. 35  And they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fenced, and are inhabited.
